Catalina and Dumitru had known of each other for years, their parents long-time friends. But it wasn’t until June 2018 that their paths truly crossed in a way that mattered. 

From the very start, Catalina was captivated. Dumitru had a way of making the world feel bigger, more fascinating—he was a walking encyclopedia of fun facts and unexpected knowledge, wrapped in effortless charm. Every conversation left her wanting more. 

Dumitru, in turn, was drawn to Catalina’s warmth. She had a rare energy, the kind that made people feel lighter just by being near her. Kindness wasn’t just something she practiced—it was simply who she was. 

One date turned into two. Two turned into late-night calls, shared adventures, and years that seemed to pass in the blink of an eye. By the time autumn 2023 arrived, there was no doubt—they were meant to be. 

Under the golden hues of Prague’s Charles Bridge, Dumitru got down on one knee. Catalina didn’t even let him finish his sentence before saying yes.
